4 More Years

I swear I am going to commit murder if one other person suggests that that I shouldn’t feel so affected by the US election results because I don’t live in the USA. If anyone seriously thinks that American policy does not mess things up for the rest of the world then they should be forced to stand without shelter in the middle of Falloojeh sometime in the next week.
I am gutted, how much evil does one man have to commit before he will be voted out? How much more irretrievable damage can be done in the next four years? Yes I realise that John Kerry was hardly an angel but anything, anything is better than having an immoral moron with an IQ lower than my daughter’s teddy bear running (or should that be ruining) the world.
The fact that Kerry would have been hardly ideal, adds further salt to my wounds because if the American people could not even bring themselves to vote for very little change then what hope is there for the huge things that need to be done before it is too late?
To all those of you who tried to make a difference you have my support and sympathy but all those who voted for Bush. Would you care to tell me WHY? And don’t give me all this bullcrap about him being a Christian man. He may call himself a Christian but I’ve got news for you, there is so much more to being religious than going to church every Sunday. He carefully chose to ignore the bit about loving thy neighbour didn’t he?

John Kerry would have destroyed the United States. George Bush has the support of more than half of the voters in his country. His people believe in him. No one gives a shit about what you think. Bitch and moan about your own country. Asshole.

I didn't vote for Bush, but the only logical reason I can see to have done so would be for the sake of Supreme Court appointments. Which is a "what if" proposition on many levels.

I suppose you should care about who wins the elections in the United States, after all, who does more to make the world a better place than the United States does?

If you think we are doing so much harm to the rest of the world, begin naming other all the other countries who contribute more to the betterment of the world.

everyone has their right to an opinion. the main reason i would have voted for bush is that i know what bush is capable of and feel that he was trying to do right by iraq, even if he miserably failed. my vote would have been more against kerry. if he's going to tote around the fact that he's catholic, then he should have stood for the things that would have brought him the catholic vote....namely his stance on stem cell research and partial-birth abortion.

it does irritate me that people have such a skewed view of americans, tho....they bitch and moan about them but we are the very first people they ask for help when they're in trouble....

Bush is an asshole and so are 51% of the American public. Yes, Kerry is no angel but even though Bush won, don't they see that almost 1/2 of the country thinks he is evil. Yes, we are divided. How is he different from the terrorist who listens to his God? I am scared to think that he is our "leader". I am sickened by the results, we stayed up so late Tuesday night and I just couldn't believe it. Shame on them not having enough voting booths. And that we just couldn't get one more state to vote for Kerry.

The results state by state were so close to the last election when Bush wasn't elected president, it seems to me that something needs to be done by the next election. The country is split by the coasts and the middle. There has to be some way of uniting us.

In my town we go to the fire house and just walk in and walk out. No wait. I live in New York, and although I know quite a few Bush voters, I was certain Kerry would win. Almost every mother I know voted for Kerry. I was surprised when I heard that married women tended to vote for Bush. I guess I forget just how many people in this country go to church every Sunday. I guess I am rambling...Sorry. Anyway, it's hurtful to all to see how people view others on the "other side". I must be like the rest, saying that people are jerks for voting for him. But the hate that people are spewing, it's so harmful to us all. I hope that we can find someone to lead us that we can all look to in 4 years and respect.
